- The following Notice of Motion was moved at the delegates
meeting in March, "Norm Cox gave a Notice of Motion that Section
7.6.ii of the bylaws be changed so that executive members on
Federation business, should be reimbursed at the same rate of
reimbursement as travel for designated members. 1 to 5 unchanged. Add
#6: Economy airfare when air travel is more feasible than other modes
of transportation."
- The following Notice of Motion was received from the Okanagan
Square and Round Dance Association: "It is hereby moved that a motion
passed at the BOD meeting on March 27, 2010, specifically, "that the
net proceeds from BC Festivals be retained by the sponsoring body.
Seed money and advertising money provided to the Festival would be
considered expenses and paid back to the Federation", was out of order
as this is something that affects the entire membership and no advance
motion was given as per Article 5.10 of our by-laws, and therefore
should be struck and the original understanding of our BC Festival
guidelines should stand."
- The following Notice of Motion was received from the Okanagan
Square and Round Dance Association: "Subject to the BC Federation AGM
approving the motion whereby the net proceeds of Festivals is to be
retained by the sponsoring body, seed money and advertising money
excepted, it is hereby moved that the net proceeds of Festival 2009 be
returned to the sponsoring body"
